Although game files can be exported from the Courtside app, this is commonly done for troubleshooting; there was a game was run offline (or online) and the association would like to have a excel file of the data just in case, or mainly due to sync issues that may occur within the app and that file will be required by our support team to be able to manually upload to get the data to display within Passport match results (post-game).
The file itself is not designed to be viewed as such however there is a way to read and display the data in a more plain text way so a user can understand it better if they choose to do so.
HOW TO EXPORT COUTSIDE GAME FILES
NOTE: You need to have a mail client setup on your device - on andriod this will be gmail, while on apple devices this will be the mail app.
NOTE: game files are only stored for three days so if you need games that are more than 3 days old unforunately you won't be able to export these files as the app will no longer have the files stored. You'll need to check the match results section to see if the games synced originally otherwise your admins will need to manually add in the match results for those older games.
1. Click on the Admin button in the right hand corner and select Export Game Files.
2. Select the Match(es) you’d like to export and click Email at the bottom of the screen.
NOTE: game files can only be exported AFTER a match has been completed/confirmed.
This will bring up the mail client installed on your device.
3. Type in the email address you’d like to send to, write something in the description if you wish, then click Send.
NOTE: The Court Name and date automatically populate into the Subject Line
